Maxillary palp shapes in Lamproblatta spp. The two types are according to Rehn (1930) and refer to the shape of the penultimate palpomere. Type 1 is robust (wide, not evenly tapering throughout, and slightly shorter; basal angle of the penultimate palpomere is < 15° ) and type 2 is slender (more triangular in profile, evenly tapering to base, and slightly longer; basal angle of the penultimate palpomere is > 15°).
